Integrating SharePoint with Numero allows you to manage and access financial documents stored in SharePoint directly within the Numero platform.

Prerequisites

  1. Ensure you have an admin user role in Numero to access the connectors page.

  2. Confirm you have administrative privileges in SharePoint, as only an administrator can configure the necessary settings and permissions for the integration.

  3. Verify that the Microsoft account you are using has the appropriate user license to access SharePoint.

  4. Create a dedicated email address (e.g., [email protected]) to manage document access through Numero. This email will serve as the primary point for communication and access between SharePoint and Numero.

  5. Set up a root folder in your SharePoint site to store all documents you want to sync with Numero. Consider naming this folder “Numero” for easy identification.

  6. Optionally, create subfolders within this root folder to categorize documents more effectively.

  7. Ensure your documents follow the supported formats in Numero for seamless upload.

  8. Assign access permissions to the SharePoint folder for the newly created email ID ([email protected]).

Steps to Integrate SharePoint with Numero

  1. Open the Numero application and go to the Connectors tab.

  2. Select SharePoint from the list of available connectors and click Connect.

  3. Sign in with your newly created account ([email protected]) to authenticate the connection.

  4. Once connected, the SharePoint card in the Connectors tab will display a small "1" in the top-right corner, next to the plug icon. This indicates that a connection with SharePoint has been successfully established and that there is currently one active connection.

Note✨

If you encounter an “Unauthorized Application” or “Need Admin Approval” error, it may indicate that Numero requires admin approval to connect with your organization’s SharePoint account.

To resolve this error, refer to the steps provided in Microsoft’s documentation. This process requires you to approve Numero from your organization’s Microsoft Admin Center.

Ensure you have the necessary administrative rights to grant consent for the application and configure user consent settings within Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).

5. Now go to the specific SharePoint folder that you created to connect with Numero for syncing documents.

6. Copy the URL of the SharePoint folder from your browser’s address bar.

7. Return to Numero, click the gear icon to access Settings, and select Doc Config.

8. Paste the copied SharePoint URL into the designated field and click Submit to finalize the connection.

9. After submitting the URL, please inform your Numero SPOC to enable the document synchronization..

Frequently asked Questions

  1. Can I connect more than one folder for sync?

Yes. However, you can only designate one root folder. That root folder can contain any number of subfolders, and all folders and files within it will be synced.

  2. Can I add another folder URL in the “Doc Config” settings?

No, only one folder URL can be added. Once you’ve linked a folder, it cannot be changed or updated.
