The Public Documents category in Numero enables you to interact directly with publicly available documents, including SEC filings (such as 10-Q and 10-K reports), Guidance documents, and various regulatory submissions. Tailored for users like financial analysts, compliance officers, and legal professionals, this module simplifies the navigation, review, analysis, and comparison of crucial corporate filings and data.

Step 1: Navigate to the Public Documents Section

Click on the "Public Documents" tab (blue icon in the middle) to access publicly available resources such as SEC filings along with Guidance documents.

Step 2: Selecting Document Types

When working with Public Documents, you can refine your search by selecting from different document types within a category. For example, under the SEC Filings category, a drop down allows you to select document types such as 10-K and 10-Q.

Selecting a specific document type, like 10K, narrows your search to only include documents that fall under that category. This feature is particularly useful when you need answers or data specific to a certain type of document.

Likewise for the ”Guidance” category, you can choose documents related to financial accounting standards.

Here also, a drop down will appear allowing you to select document types that include:

  • Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidelines.

  • International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) documents.

  • International Accounting Standards (IAS) documents.

This filtering is especially useful for research that involves regulatory comparisons across regions. For instance, selecting guidance documents from various sources enables a comprehensive view of global financial reporting standards.

Additionally, consulting firms like EY, Deloitte, PwC, and KPMG provide interpretations of these standards to aid businesses in adhering to the latest regulations. Numero makes it easy to find and analyze these interpretations, helping you stay informed on evolving compliance requirements.

Example: For guidance related to ASC 280, you’ll find interpretations from firms such as Deloitte, EY, FASB, KPMG, and the SEC, all accessible within Numero for in-depth review.
